Projects & Categories

Organise your knowledge base with projects, categories, and tags.

1Creating Projects

Navigate to the Projects tab in the sidebar and click "New Project".

Enter the project name, location, and set its status (Active or Completed).

All new lessons can be assigned to a project, making it easy to filter and review lessons by project.

2Managing Projects

Admins and Managers can edit project details or change project status.

To delete a project, it must have no lessons assigned to it. Reassign lessons first if needed.

Projects can be set to "Completed" to archive them while keeping all associated lessons accessible.

3Categories & Subcategories

Categories provide the primary organisation for lessons: Safety, Quality, Design, Programme, Cost, Environment, etc.

Subcategories add a second level of detail. For example, under "Safety" you might have "Working at Height", "Electrical", "Fire", etc.

Categories and subcategories are used in filtering and reporting.

4Using Tags

Tags are flexible labels that can be applied to any lesson. They complement the category system.

Common tag uses: material types (concrete, steel, timber), building systems (HVAC, plumbing), issue types (defect, near-miss).
